The MMC consists of several parts. First, the pallet carrier, which is a single-rail, guided vehicle. It can be a single layer or up to three layers, depending on the desired pallet capacity. The work-setting station is where pallet setup and change-out of parts takes place. The pallet stocker is the storage area when pallets are waiting for an available machine.

The MMC2 is available to work with nearly all Makino horizontal machines, including the MAG series. The entire work zone is supported, and we can configure these cells to feed up to 15 machines, depending on the type of parts you’ll be running. The shorter the cycle time of the parts, the fewer machines we typically add due to the utilization of the vehicle. We can include up to four work-setting stations and can even handle a robot-loaded work-setting station, if needed.
