Designed for minimal maintenance and automatic operation, Bed Filters are designed to prolong the life of machining coolants. In operation, contaminated solutions flow into a diffuser tray capturing large chips. Liquid then pours into the filter bed where the finer contaminants are sieved by the filter media. As debris accumulates, a float switch is triggered, which moves the filter paper conveyor until the media is replaced by clean media. Available in sizes up to 60 gpm, the Bed Filter features rugged metal construction, strong chain links that resist binding, heavy center rods for durability and a long-lasting float and shut-off mechanism, the company says. An optional magnetic separator can be added to remove ferrous debris from sediment, further extending filter media life.
