Vericut 7.3, available from CGTech, has been updated to improve performance and simplify CNC machine simulation. According to the company, the software eliminates the process of manually proving out NC programs by simulating a range of CNC machine tools from various manufacturers. The program runs standalone but can also be integrated with CAM systems.
The latest version of the software features a customizable user interface with new, size-adjustable icons, user-selectable color themes, and options to display or hide icons. Users can configure “favorites” with commonly used folders and files to streamline simulation setup. An “edge display” option analyzes models on-the-fly to find and display their edges without affecting simulation speed, the company says. Users can also create a list of “stop at” events such as collisions, warnings and tool changes to pause the simulation. The program features enhancements to collision algorithms as well, avoiding the need to adjust complex machine models to improve performance.
