Sinker EDMs Offer High-Speed Jumping, Thermal Control
MC Machinery Systems will display a range of Mitsubishi’s wire and sinker EDM machines, including the EA8PS and EA12PS.
MC Machinery Systems will display a range of Mitsubishi’s wire and sinker EDM machines, including the EA8PS and EA12PS. Both PS series machines feature a new Z-axis design that uses high-quality ballscrew and LM way components to ensure positioning accuracy during high-speed jump machining.
The EA8PS sinker EDM is designed for tight-tolerance applications, such those in the die and mold industry. A thermal displacement compensation system and Z-axis cooling mechanism are said to improve accuracy by tracking and compensating for machine temperature changes. The EA12PS is designed for medium-sized sinker needs.
