Velocity Tooling offers LB series and LT series tooling designed specifically for Okuma lathes. The LB series tools feature an individually ground front mounting plate and a spring-loaded rear mounting plate for quick and accurate tool installation. The LT-2000 tools feature set screws in the tool body, which are adjusted at the factory to pre-align the tool to the turret face. The tools can be run dry thanks to the design of the 1,160-psi coolant-through system.
The forces involved in the milling process can be quantified, thus allowing mathematical tools to predict and control these forces. Formulas for calculating these forces accurately make it possible to optimize the quality of milling operations.
