Swiss-Type Lathe for Medical Applications
Hanwha Machinery America’s seven-axis model XD20M CNC Swiss-type lathe is based on the company’s XD20H series and includes additional features for machining medical parts.
The lathe is equipped with the company’s FANUC I System 2-Path control with simultaneous machining capability on the main and subspindle to reduce cycle time. Other standard equipment includes all revolving spindle units, a three-color signal tower, a parts conveyor, rigid tapping at all spindles and C axis on the main and subspindles. The control features the company’s custom pages to graphically assist machine setup and programming in a user-friendly format, Hanwha says.
