LMT Fette, a division of LMT Tools Group, offers the EVOline thread rolling head system for OD threadforming. The design of the rolling head consists of a roller cage and rolling system, which includes a closing clip ring and a secure shank interface. The interface between the clutch and shank helps to ensure concentricity with safe torque transmission. Additional features include a chip guard, a 360-degree adjustable closing device, and a modular design with an improved clutch and shank interface. According to the company, thread rolling supports short manufacturing times, higher thread strength, dimension accuracy and surface quality at long tool life. The thread rolling heads offer repeatable fine adjustment to 0.01 mm (0.0004") of the rolling diameter, said to reduce setup time. All common shank sizes are available.
