Techniks’ CoolBlast toolholders feature coolant paths that direct coolant to the tool tip and improve cutting performance. According to the company, these holders provide the benefits of coolant-fed tools, such as faster feeds and speeds, better chip removal and better tool life, without the expense.
The toolholders are available for shrink-fit holders and end mill holders. The company’s face mill arbors feature an arbor screw that provides a coolant path when used with coolant-through face mills.
