Land Sea Air Manufacturing recently gave each of its manufacturing team members fully stocked toolboxes that are identically configured with tools from MSC.

Technology adoption is critical to success and sustainability for advanced manufacturers, especially in areas like Maryland, where the cost for taxes, wages, energy and healthcare are extremely high. To that end, DMG MORI has accepted an agreement for Land Sea Air Manufacturing to purchase 15 five-axis machining centers over the next three years.
Todd Paul (right) is the president and owner of this Westminster, Maryland, shop that has more than 94,000 square feet of floor space. The company focuses on teamwork and establishing strategic partnerships to support both high-volume and
high-mix production of complex products.

Land Sea Air Manufacturing is 2017’s Top Shops Honors Program winner in the business strategies category. Led by president and owner Todd Paul, this contract shop has worked to establish strategic partnerships with customers, machining equipment manufacturers and fellow Maryland manufacturing companies.
In fact, the shop is part of the Maryland Manufacturers COOP, a group of businesses in its state that transparently share customers, information, resources and technology. COOP customers select their preferred “prime” and the other manufacturers form the supply chain. The result is lower total cost to the customer and higher profitability to the COOP members. Each manufacturer’s credentials are unique to specific industry segments, providing market diversity. The COOP was a result of collaboration already occurring between these businesses and has yielded more than $2 million of additional revenue in the last 18 months for member companies.
