Fuji Machine America’s new CSD-300R twin-spindle, twin-turret lathe features live tools for fast, single-setup turning, milling and drilling capability. A hydraulic clamping robot loader is designed to quickly seat and transfer parts ranging to 7.87" × 4" in diameter and as heavy as 5 + 5 kg. The machine’s robot control aligns the robot to spindle centerline.
The machine’s turret features indexing speed of 0.26 sec, and its dual, 100-mm-diameter, A2-6 spindles are powered by15/20-hp high-output spindle motors. According to the company, heavy-duty Z- and X-axis boxways with no quill for Z-axis movement ensure rigidity and accuracy.
Other features include a between-turret swing door for easy operator access, a rear- or side-positioned discharge chip conveyor and maintenance items all located on one section of the machine.
The company will also display a large-capacity version of the machine, the CSD-400.
