The Femco HL-35 DMSY turning center is designed for high speed and precision in turning and milling applications. Features include a Durga 23-station, twin-disk turret, a C axis, a Y axis and a subspindle. The Durga turret provides quick setup times and fast chip-to-chip tool changes, the company says. It accommodates 12 tools for OD turning and 11 tools for ID turning. All ID stations can be equipped with both radial and axial power-driven tools for turning and milling versatility. The subspindle offers an 8" hydraulic chuck, 20 hp and 5,000 rpm to accommodate a variety of parts, while the main spindle offers a 10" hydraulic chuck, 25 hp, 4,000 rpm and a 2.95" bar capacity for greater machining capabilities. Standard accessories include a chip conveyor, tool presetter and parts catcher.
