United Grinding Opens New U.S. Headquarters
The Ohio facility is designed to increase efficiency and consolidate the company’s various grinding machine, automation and rebuilding departments for complete lifecycle support and faster response times.
Just over a year after breaking ground, United Grinding North America Inc. has officially opened the doors of its new 110,000-square-foot U.S. headquarters in Miamisburg, Ohio. The building brings together the company’s cylindrical, surface and profile grinding business units; its automation and rebuilding departments from their existing offices in Miamisburg; and its tool and cutter grinding machines and measurement systems sectors which were formerly located in Fredericksburg, Virginia.
With this consolidation, the company intends to advance process optimization and stabilization in the name of providing better service for its customers in the Americas.
“This new facility, with all its productivity improvements and attention to detail, is the best way to build upon the partnerships we’ve developed and bring innovative services to our customers in the most efficient and cost-effective way possible,” says President and CEO Steve Jacobson.
The building’s design is intended to enhance efficiency, strengthen customer service and boost operational agility in response to customer demands for faster response times and complete lifecycle solutions, according to Dr. Michael Gebhardt, project leader for the new headquarters and vice president of operations.
The facility’s Solutions Center provides space for comprehensive software training and demonstrations, while its streamlined rebuilding process has increased workflow efficiency. The result is an optimized process designed to quickly offer customers the turnkey solutions they need.
