The 500-mm-pallet GE480H from Enshu is a flexible HMC featuring a 40-taper spindle. According to the company, the machine is suitable for a wide range of high-precision applications requiring rapid metal removal, including automotive, firearms, orthopedics, electronics and die/mold.
The machine features cross-roller linear guideways for optimum rigidity. Its 29.5-hp, 15,000-rpm spindles are paired with rapid traverse rates of 3,543 ipm. The spindles, ballscrews and servomotor mounts are refrigerated and temperature-controlled within ±1°C of ambient for greater accuracy through thermal stability. The machine meets Enshu’s MTBF (mean time between failure) and MTTR (mean time to recovery) program requirements.
The 400-mm-pallet GE460H, 500-mm-pallet GE580H and 630-mm-pallet GE590H will also be on display.
