At Heidenhain’s booth, the Acu-Rite Millpwr G2 control will be highlighted, marketed as an easy-to-operate CNC for vertical knee mills. A configuration for bed mills with AC motors is now available. At the booth, this system will be digitally connected to a larger monitoring system via Heidenhain’s StateMonitor software.
The control is available with an optional AMI (auxiliary machine interface) offering users the ability to interface as well as control its host machine tool’s spindle. The Millpwr G2 is equipped with full 3D contouring capabilities and is available as a complete retrofit package for two- or three-axis knee or bed mills. It is said to provide straightforward 2½-axis conversational shopfloor programming as well as powerful calculators, eliminating the need for time-consuming manual calculations and learning complicated programs
Heidenhain will also display its TNC 640 mill-turn control.
