Emag’s VL 2 P is a twin-spindle, vertical pick-up turning machine that uses pendulum technology. Featuring integrated pick-up automation, a polymer concrete machine body and a vertical design that facilitates chip-flow, the machine is designed for accurate, low-cost machining of workpieces ranging to 100 mm in diameter.
While a workpiece is machined in one spindle, the other picks up another raw part for machining immediately after. Combined with the machine’s compact design, this configuration provides short chip-to-chip times, the company says.
The company will also display its VL 5i vertical turning machine and VSC 400 DDS turning and grinding center.
