Sharp Industries’ SV4328ST VMC offers 43" longitudinal travel, 28" cross travel and 24" vertical travel. To maintain accuracy along the entire length of the 28" Y-axis, the vertical column is redesigned to offer extra support to the vertical head and the ram. The base is constructed with four hardened and ground box ways. This design allows the saddle to offer full length support of the table with no overhang. Large-size ballscrews (1.8" diameter) offer higher torque and thrust power to all axis feeds. All structural mating surfaces are precision hand scraped to increase the flatness and improve geometric accuracy of the entire assembly. The machine features a Fanuc 0i-MD control with 10.4" color LCD screen. Standard equipment includes a spindle chiller, chip conveyor, oil skimmer, chip flushing system, 24-pocket ATC and rigid tapping capability.
