Omax’s Maxiem 1515 JetMachining Center offers cutting travels ranging from 2.6" × 2.6" to 53.5" × 13.5". The waterjet cutting machine is capable of cutting materials such as metal, plastic, glass, ceramics, stone and composites and is suitable for use in fabrication shops, metal service centers, trade schools and job shops. The machine’s Intelli-Trax linear drive system uses brushless servomotors, integrated servodrives and high-precision linear encoders to provide constant and continuous feedback on the actual cutting head position. In addition to increased accuracy, the drive system is said to deliver faster, smoother motion.

The direct-drive, 50,000-psi pump includes variable frequency drive technology that regulates the electricity input to the motor in order to reduce overall energy costs. The pumps are available in 20-, 30- and 40-hp versions, with a DualPump 80-hp package also available. The all-in-one Windows 8 controller comes preloaded with the Omax’s Intelli-Max software suite and features large, 23" screens to ease viewing of part files and tool paths.
