Modern Machine Shop
Products from Fixtureworks include clamping, gripping, locating, positioning and support components. The array of products demonstrates the ability for OEMs and end-users to design and build application-specific fixtures with off-the-shelf parts and hardware available from a single-source.
The exhibit will feature a line-up of manual clamps from Imao, OK-Vise and Mitee-Bite. For example, clamps that provide quick and secure fastening for repetitive machining operations are ideal for easy load/unload of workpieces, the company says. They come in a variety of sizes ranging from heavy-duty to mini. Clamping-force options range from as low as 2 to more than 2,200 pounds. Available configurations include swing, pull, snap, hook, toe and side. These retractable clamps are made of alloy steel; heat treated with a black oxide finish. They are said to be ideal for quick clamping operations.
Also on display will be Fairlane Products’ line of grippers, rest pads, Swivots swivel/pivoting positioning components, Quick Release ball-lock pins, rollers and bumpers. Other exhibits include Kipp spring plungers, rest and riser pads, levers, handles, knobs, and hand wheels; Imao supports and stops, risers, T-nuts, sliding mounts, springs, supports, grid plates and blocks; OK-Vise single- and double-wedge clamp designs; Mitee-Bitelow-profile edge clamps; and the Modern Industries mPower product line which includes quick change precision locating and mounting systems and modular tooling, plates and columns.
