CCAM Building Opening Soon

When Rolls-Royce opened its Crosspointe facility for lean manufacturing, it wanted to found an organization nearby that would take a lean approach to manufacturing research. The result is the Commonwealth Center for Advanced Manufacturing—or CCAM—in Prince George County, Virginia. Along with Rolls-Royce, companies including Sandvik Coromant and Siemens PLM Software share in research projects conducted by CCAM. A grand opening is planned for March, when the building’s facilities are more completely finished.
