Center Rock would have been an interesting manufacturer even if the company hadn’t been involved in the rescue of the Chilean miners last year. The company’s different lathes have different levels of multitasking capability, with the level of multitasking increasing as part sizes go down. One conclusion is this: Just because a machine can run a part in one setup, that doesn’t mean it should. Read about multitasking at Center Rock here.
