Device for Manufacturing Students was Made by Manufacturing Students

Realityworks, a maker of simulation technology, recently introduced its TeachWeld welding simulator. The company says, “This online, game-like product gives students a hands-on look at a career in welding while helping fill the nation’s skills gap of welders.” Learn more here.

I took notice when I received the press release from the company about this new product, because I had just seen part of this product being manufactured. When I visited Cardinal Manufacturing—the high school manufacturing program run as a job shop—parts for this simulator were one of the jobs the shop was working on. That means student manufacturers helped make this device for other manufacturing students.
