More on Trochoidal Turning

One of the more productive machining methods Sandvik Coromant has found for machining grooves in aerospace engine spools and disks is trochoidal turning. This is one of the machining methods described in this article, which discusses toolpath techniques you may want to apply, even if your CAM software can’t do so automatically.

Now, Sandvik Coromant has developed a more detailed presentation about when and how to use trochoidal turning. Go here to watch the presentation, which includes animated footage demonstrating how trochoidal turning works.
