At the recent Amerimold expo, I talked to Tom Swihart of Erowa about time-saving workholding. He brought some workholding devices to this moldmaking show that not all mold shops would necessarily consider—though perhaps more of them should. Those devices include (1) a self-centering vise for five-axis machining and (2) a quick-locking pallet system for fast changeover.
