Writing for Modern gives me the chance to visit a number of machine shops. This enables me to see advanced equipment and processes that shops have adopted to become more competitive and successful. That said, the experiences that I appreciate most often extend beyond learning about the interesting machining concepts and strategies a shop is applying.
