Portable Parts Inspection And Reverse Engineering - Immersion

Immersion Corporation has shipped its MicroScribe MX portable measurement systems to customers and resellers. The products, with accuracies of 0.004" and 0.005", can be used for manufactured parts inspection and high-accuracy reverse engineering.

The systems can also be used with various CAD/CAM software applications including Delcam’s PowerInspect and PowerShape; Robert McNeel & Associates’ Rhinoceros; Revware’s RevWorks; Creative Dezign Concepts’ DezignWorks; and multiple plug-ins from HighRes, Inc. These packages either natively support the system’s functionality or integrate the tool via a plug-in product.
