Cutoff Machine Prevents OD Marring - Bardons & Oliver Inc.
Available in four different models, the Rotating Head cut-off machine is designed to keep tubes and barstock stationary while the cutting tool rotates around the material. According to manufacturer Bardons & Oliver, this prevents marking of the OD and provides the ability to cut non-straight or “as-welded” material. OD capacity ranges from 0.75" to 10". Both ends of the bar or tube can be chamfered, and no additional facing operations are necessary, the company says. The machine can handle stock as long as 40'.
