The company's eCNC offers several modifications to
its NT-based models while maintaining software
compatibility with the current line of controls.
The MM1 through MM7 models are still available and
supported.
The complete industrial PC -based CNC package runs
on Microsoft Windows 2000 with the company's Real
Time Kernel. The browser-based operator interface
features Html frames and Java applets, which allow
for customization. Designers with web screen/page
experience, according to the company, can develop
CNC MMI screens.
Built-in modem and Web browser software enables
remote access to the control without an Internet
provider.
It also allows access capabilities for monitoring,
reporting, downloading, uploading or
troubleshooting the machine tool. PC architecture
enables easy integration to the Internet by using
the included modem or adding a standard network
card.
The slim-line, vertical operators panel consists
of two subpanels (display & keyboard) that can be
mounted up to 33 feet away from the included
industrial computer CNC.
The stainless steel CE Industrial Computer CNC
enclosure is said to assure long-lasting,
trouble-free operation. The industrial PC can be
remotely mounted and measures 17.3" × 6.3" ×
11.0".
Operator Keyboard is provided on the front panel
faceplate with all the typical alpha-numeric
keys.
Meanwhile, the USB port provides access to
standard PC USB devices supported by Windows 2000,
such as another hard disk, floppy disk drive and
CD/CD-R/CD-RW drive.
The vertical standard operator's panel consists of
two subpanels. Each subpanel measures 11.4" ×
8.7". The upper panel has the 10.1" TFT color
display and membrane IP65 keyboard. The lower
panel has eight optional pushbuttons and two
optional feedrate switches. The thin operator
panels are less than 2" deep. The narrower form
factor is physically compatible with a number of
other CNCs on the market.
The horizontal operator panel with a 12.1" TFT
color display and IP65 membrane keyboard and has
the same 19" width and 12.25" height as the
company's current models. Up to eight optional
pushbuttons and two feedrate switches can be
added. This panel is approximately 2" deep. An
optional touch-screen feature is available.
