We are running a Mits ra90 edm machine. we are currently expanding and bringing some aerospace parts into our shop. I have been playing with the machine for a couple days now cutting thick workpieces (4"+) in numerous different materials. however i have not been able to get the speeds that i would like to out of the machine. I am currently using a .010" mega cut D wire. This is what my tech sheets say is a good fit for some D-2 steel that i am cutting with tight radius's. however nothing i seem to do increases the speed. Please any advice in cutting thick workpieces would be greatly appreciated..thanks.
