More than 1,000 people attended ABB Robotics’ annual Technology Day in May. Hosted at the company’s 55,000-square-foot North American headquarters and training center in Auburn Hills, Michigan, the event consisted of 45 small-group, topic-specific seminars as well as more than 40 live robot-related demonstrations. Robotic applications on display included integrated vision, welding and cutting, packaging, and painting, as well as general applications. According to the company, the event’s diverse group of attendees indicates broadening interest in robotics across a range of industrial segments.
