DMG MORI Plant Completes 1,000th Machine

DMG MORI’s Davis, California, manufacturing plant completed the production of its 1,000th machine. The plant, located near Sacramento, was opened in 2012 and is said to produce and assemble more than 100 machines per month.

The 221,000-square-foot factory was built adjacent to the design center and Digital Technology Laboratory that Mori Seiki developed 15 years ago as an R&D site. A total of 180 employees work at the site, with 120 of them involved in production and the remainder working in R&D.
