GF AgieCharmilles to Become GF Machining Solutions
The company is making the change to emphasize the range of products and services it provides.
Effective January 1, 2014, GF AgieCharmilles (Lincolnshire, Ill.) will become GF Machining Solutions. According to the company, the name change will underscore that Georg Fischer (GF) AG is a unified company with three divisions and emphasize its role as a total solutions provider for its customers.
The name change will not affect the terms of existing agreements, and the names of the company’s legal entities will remain the same. The AgieCharmilles, Mikron, Step-Tec and System 3R product names will continue to be used within the umbrella of the GF Machining Solutions portfolio, and a new product naming system will be introduced during the first half of 2014. Also in conjunction with the name change, the company will implement a new design style across its website, sales literature and external communications.
