Hexagon Metrology (North Kingstown, Rhode Island) has announced the speaker agenda for the Hexagon 2012 International Conference, which is scheduled for June 4-7 at the MGM Grand Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. Customer application stories and educational presentations will be delivered by leading organizations including: GE Inspection Technologies, Naval Air Systems Command, SEAT division of Volkswagen Group, Lowell Inc, Metal Technologies Inc and motorsport teams Red Bull Technology and Hendrick Motorsports. The company will also conduct sessions focused on measurement trends and applications in industrial metrology for companies in the aerospace, automotive, energy, and medical fields.
New to this year’s conference is a dedicated Quindos UserTrack with presentations covering the use of the specialized Quindos metrology software for special geometry measurement, wear measurement, blade geometry and simulation. In the Metrology Trends Track, ‘Why the Prius Changed Everything’ will demonstrate how Toyota changed the makeup of power trains. Other highlights include a presentation on using 3D scanned data to generate virtual reality content, a session on using the Total Desirability Index to zero in on critical features when using colormap inspections, an update on changes in the GD&T standard, and workshops on SPC and Gage R&R techniques.
