Hwacheon recently celebrated its 60th anniversary with the grand opening of its Technology Center in Gwangju, Korea. More than 2,000 people attended the three-day event, which included an open house in the adjacent factory. The Technology Center is located on the company’s head office campus in Gwangju. It features demonstration space for machines on the ground floor and meeting rooms, an auditorium and training facilities on two upper floors.
Established in 1952, Hwacheon operates eight plants in Korea, including four machine tool factories. The company says it is making a greater commitment to its markets outside Korea with new facilities and machine development, as well as stocking its machines in global markets.
