Management of the International Manufacturing and Technology Show (IMTS) has dubbed September 13 as Industry Inspiration Day to mark the kickoff of a new conference program that promises a forum for discussion of new opportunities, networking with industry peers and exploring innovative ways to overcome challenges. Scheduled for September 13-18 at the McCormick Place complex in Chicago, North America’s largest industrial trade show is expected to attract more than 91,000 visitors from all over the world.
The IMTS Industry & Technology Conference will focus on six topic tracks featuring a range of industry-specific sessions. These include materials engineering; machining technology and trends; alternative manufacturing processes; metrology; plant operations; and rapid prototyping. Exhibitors and attendees registered for a conference session are invited to a keynote luncheon program featuring speakers from key industrial markets such as aerospace, automotive, energy and medical manufacturing. A round-table discussion will conclude the luncheon, which is scheduled for 12 to 3 p.m. in the Industry & Technology Conference area of the West building.
