Lightworks Celebrates 25th Anniversary

Lightwork Design Ltd. (Lightworks), developer of CAD rendering technologies, is celebrating its 25th anniversary. Headquartered in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, United Kingdom, the company was founded in 1989. It is now privately owned and led by CEO David Forrester, who says that he intends to continue in the vision of the original four founders, developing photorealistic 3D rendering software for industrial, architectural and product CAD designers. As a token of this effort, the company cites its Iray+ ray tracing software for a spectrum of design applications from automotive to jewelry. The company has developed rendering technology for at least 80 CAD applications, exceeding 3 million total users.
