Makino Joins Siemens PLM’s Software Partnership Program

An agreement between Makino (Mason, Ohio) and Siemens PLM Software (Waltham, Massachusetts) enables the machine tool supplier to use the software company’s technology for aircraft engine production as part of Siemens’ Software Solution Partner Program. As part of the partnership, Makino will be able to augment its current offerings with the integrated Siemens’ NX CAD/CAM/CAE software, a common program used in aircraft engine manufacture. Makino’s adoption of NX will enable users to view and work with part designs in customers’ native format.
