The Manufacturing Institute (Washington, DC) has partnered with the Precision Machined Products Association (Brecksville, Ohio) to expand the Right Skills Now program, a fast-track training program aligned to the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM)-endorsed Manufacturing Skills Certification System. Right Skills Now and the Skills Certification System are designed to build an educated and skilled workforce that will help manufacturers successfully compete in the global economy.
 
The Manufacturing Skills Certification System integrates nationally portable, industry-recognized credentials and their learning standards and content into high school, community college and four-year college curriculum. Right Skills Now is an acceleration of the Skills Certification System, which awards credentials and educational credit to workforce candidates. The program focuses career training in core employability and technical skills for precision machining.
