Mazak Event Offers Energy-Industry Focus

A “Discover Mazak” event at the machine tool builder’s Southwest Technology Center in Houston, Texas will focus on new machines, technologies and services for manufacturers serving the energy industry. Scheduled for December 6 and 7 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., the event will place particular focus on multi-tasking technology and demonstrations.
 
“The Southwest continues to be a vital region for American manufacturing, while the energy sector has been and continues to be a market of tremendous potential,” says company president Brian Papke. “Mazak is fully committed to acting as a partner to manufacturers working in this industry that is crucial to our economy.”
 
Machines to be displayed include the Quick Turn Nexus 450MY, the Quick Turn Smart 350, the Slant Turn Nexus 550M, the Integrex j-400, and IVS-400 and the Vertical Center Nexus 700D. The company will also present detailed information on its new Mazak Optimum Plus customer service program and technical information on its new MX Hybrid Roller Guide System, which is designed to combine consistent performance, accuracy and rigidity.
 
In related news, the company is currently building a new facility to house its Southwest Technology Center. The 30,000-square-foot facility will be unveiled to the public at a grand opening ceremony in June 2011.
