A Discover More with Mazak event taking place in March will focus on ways to boost production efficiency through total manufacturing solutions including machine tool technology, automation systems and more. Scheduled for March 27 to 29, 2014, the open house will be hosted at Mazak’s Midwest Technology Center in Schaumburg, Ill.
Metalworking demonstrations will be conducted on 20 different Mazak machines, including the Vertical Center Universal 400 5X, Megaturn Nexas 900M vertical turning center and Integrex e-420H II multitasking machine. Automation solutions including a gantry loader and the company’s Palletech system will be integrated with some of the machines. Additionally, attendees can participate in technical seminars on Sandvik Coromant cutting tools and the open-source manufacturing protocol MTConnect. Special presentations will be delivered by Harry Moser, founder of the Reshoring Initiative, and Matt Gimbel, Nationwide Series crew chief for Penske Racing, a Mazak machine tool user.
