Machine tool builder Mazak (Florence, Kentucky) will host a “Discover More With Mazak” event at its Northeast Technology Center in Windsor Locks, Connecticut May 8, 9 and 10 to support the growth of aerospace and medical manufacturing in that region. The company invites local manufacturers and those in town for the Mfg4 conference at the Connecticut Convention center to discover how it latest technology and guidance from industry experts can help meet production challenges.
Machine demonstrations at the three-day event include medical manufacturing on the new Vertical Center Nexus Compact, knee implant production in the Integrex i-150 and hard metal titanium machining on the Horizontal Center Nexus 6800 HM. Presentations will include a keynote address on the aviation and aerospace industries by Richard Aboulafia of the Teal Group, a presentation on titanium milling by cutting tool manufacturer Sandvik Coromant, and a discussion of the MTConnect open communications protocol with Neil Desrosiers, Mazak applications engineer and MTconnect Technical Advisory Group member.
