MC Machinery Systems, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Mitsubishi Corp., has opened a subsidiary in El Marqués, Querétaro, Mexico. MC Machinery Systems de Mexico will serve that country’s growing demand for EDM, fabrication, milling and turning machines, according to the company. The subsidiary expects to have a fully stocked showroom with demo machines and training space opened by fall of 2015.

“Market forces compelled us to establish a more prominent presence in Mexico,” says Bill Isaac, vice president of sales and marketing at MC Machinery. “Demand reached a point to where the only way we could serve customers and prospects to our standards was by opening a fully staffed and stocked operation in Mexico.”

The operation is led by Sales and Service Senior Manager Mauricio Martin, who brings leadership experience in engineering, sales, marketing and service. Most recently he held the position of VP, Marketing, Sales and Technical Service at the distributor Grupo Hitec.

Sales for MC Machinery de Mexico will be handled directly by the subsidiary or through the distributors Nexttec and Hitec, depending on the territory.
