MEAU Offers CNC Backup in the Cloud
Customers can store data remotely on MEAU’s servers to reduce downtime when data is lost.
Mitsubishi Electric Automation offers a new cloud backup service for CNC machine tool information. The service includes the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive set of backups for a manufacturer’s CNC machine tool data. Mitsubishi Electric Automation provides a link to this backup information stored on its servers so that customers will be able to access it in the event that data is lost, reducing downtime and enabling more efficient repair and installation of controls. Depending on the complexity of the data, the company’s service engineers estimate that remote CNC data backups can save companies anywhere from a few hours to a day or more per occurrence of machine downtime or routine maintenance.
