As part of its goal of balancing the pursuit of prosperity with environmental health, the company is increasing efforts to operate more cleanly and responsibly while also supporting growing demand for green technologies.
Environmentally friendly product offerings include: general purpose, shielded deep-groove ball bearings with high load capacity to facilitate machinery downsizing, energy savings and better maintenance; low-torque, sealed, thin-walled angular contact ball bearings to increase machinery efficiency; Toughcarrier single-axis actuators for high load applications to save energy on manufacturing lines; low-torque ball bearings for hybrid vehicles; and a W-shaped multi-segment friction plate to increase fuel efficiency in automatic transmission vehicles. The company also continues to focus on developing energy-saving technologies such as tribology and its Neco (NSK Eco-Efficiency) indicators, maintaining zero-emissions policiesat its 51 global sites, and other initiatives.
