Presentation Highlights Waterjet Benefits

Waterjet manufacturer Jet Edge (St. Michael, Minnessota) will conduct a presentation this month geared toward showing how precision waterjet technology can help increase productivity, reduce costs and attract new types of business. “Water Jet 101 – Benefits and Capabilities of Precision Waterjet Cutting” is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 19 at the 2010 WJTA-IMCA Expo in Houston, Texas. Sponsored by the Waterjet Technology Association (WJTA) and the Industrial & Municipal Cleaning Association (IMCA), the expo is scheduled for August 17 through 19 at the George R. Brown Convention Center.

During the presentation, Jet Edge will provide an overview of waterjet technology and its benefits, including the ability to cut virtually any material, eliminate secondary finishing operations and reduce part machining time. Other topics include a comparison of waterjet with other cutting technologies, including laser, plasma and wire EDM, that will address cutting capabilities, capital investment costs and operating costs. After the presentation, participants can view live demonstrations on the company’s Mid Rail Gantry waterjet system.
