Industrial products supplier Reid Supply Company (Muskegon, Michigan) says it is poised to be a multipurpose supplier for the government’s new high speed railroad push as well as other shovel-ready construction projects. The company, which offers a variety of industrial and safety products, recently added more than 8,000 items to its Web site and offers free CAD drawings of most of its industrial parts.
“We saw the need to offer more safety equipment and rugged work clothing to complement our vast line of industrial supplies,” explains company president John Carrier about the newly added products. The items include rugged work clothing from Carhartt and Dickies as well as safety boots and shoes from makers including Bates, Danner, Georgia Boot, Nautilus, Rocky and Wolverine.
The company says its color-coded merchandising system makes it easy for customers to find the products they need. Product categories available through its Web site and catalog include knobs and handles; clamps and workholding components; tooling components; fasteners and hardware; material handling systems; pneumatics and hydraulics; and more. Free CAD drawings are available for more than 90 percent of the company’s product line.
