Renishaw (Hoffman Estates, Illinois) has opened a new subsidiary in San Pedro Garza Garcia, Mexico, to directly support its expanding customer base in that country and Central America. The new operation will be managed by Alejandro Silva C., formerly the owner of Metric Precision Group, a Mexican distributor of Renishaw’s metrology products.
The company says it sees significant growth potential in Mexico for sectors such as automotive and electronics. The new subsidiary will focus on promoting and supporting Renishaw technologies for machine tools, measuring systems and motion control. It is supported by a new website, renishaw.mx, that offers local-language information about the company’s products.
