StarragHeckert Holding AG has finalized its acquisition of the Dörries Scharmann Group, thereby strengthening its position in the aerospace, energy, transportation and engineering markets by practically doubling its business volume. With headquarters in Monchengladbach, Germany, Dörries Scharmann Technologie GmbH produces machine tool brands including Dörries, Droop+Rein, Ecospeed, Scharmann and Berthiez for drilling, turning, milling and grinding of medium- to large-sized workpieces. The companies say the merger makes sense because they offer complementary product offerings and serve the same target markets.
