Stratasys (Rehovot, Israel; Minneapolis, Minn.) has appointed Gilad Gans president of its North American operations. Mr. Gans previously served as executive vice president of the company’s global field operations. He will transition from that role during the first half of this year.

Mr. Gans’s leadership follows that of Stratasys Vice President Woody Frost, who has been the general manager of North American operations since the Objet-Stratasys merger. Mr. Frost will transition to a new role focusing on North American growth initiatives.

In other news, Stratasys has entered into definitive agreements to acquire privately-held Solid Concepts and Harvest Technologies. Both transactions are expected to be completed early in the company’s third quarter. Stratasys will combine the acquisitions with Red Eye, its existing digital manufacturing service business. Joe Allison, president of Solid Concepts, will join the Stratasys management team and lead the combined business.
