Trumpf recently celebrated the grand opening of its Laser Innovation & Technical Excellence (LITE) building, a new research and manufacturing facility that will be used to develop new lasers and expand production of laser resonators. The high-tech facility adds 86,000 square feet to the existing Trumpf campus. The building includes a 55,200-square-foot production hall and a 6,000-square-foot cleanroom designed for manufacturing and testing CO2 and solid-state laser resonators. Additionally, the facility includes a laser research lab and laser development department dedicated to the creation of innovative laser products. The building also houses the company's laser marking application and sales group as well as a larger area for the IT department's server room.
