Universal Robots Opens New Headquarters
The larger facility will enable future expansion and job creation.
Industrial robotics manufacturer Universal Robots has opened a new company headquarters in Odense, Denmark. Totaling 12,000 square meters, the new facility is seven times larger than the previous headquarters in order to accommodate future expansion. An open house attended by government officials, investors and business representatives was held on April 11.
According to Enrico Krog Iverson, CEO, the new premises will enable Universal Robots to increase production to more than 150 robots per day. As the company plans to double sales each year from 2014 to 2017, moving to the expanded facility is also expected to create approximately 200 new jobs at Universal Robots and as many as 300 indirect jobs in the Odense region.
